101 Tasks in 1001 Days

This one is quite the goal! While I think 100 books is something I am capable of, it will definitely be a challenge. I hope it encourages me to read more often and read more of the things that I want - it'll be a motivator to finally clear out my bookshelves a bit! A good source of book ideas, should I run out (which is likely to happen with such a steep reading goal) comes from the the BBC Big Read. I've currently read 21 of the 100 novels listed, but there are plenty more that I am interested in eventually reading, so it should keep me interested for a while.

As for specifications, any size, shape, genre, or style counts as a book here. As long as they are of a reasonable length, graphic novels will count as well. Short story collections count if they are read to completion; each installation in a series counts as it's own book; children's novels, while likely not something I would read with any interest, do not count.

Books on the list that are entirely in italics are either currently being read or are planned reads for up next. Books written normally are completed. Books with an asterisk next to them are personal favorites. Books that are linked lead to a review on some review site or in another post of this journal.
