Another fairly simple task that will become completed as I work on the other tasks in my challenge. The recipe book should be in hard copy format, not digital, and can be in any form that I see fit. I'd like to make something by hand, using just the basic supplies that I can purchase at an arts and crafts store. The finished product hasn't been thought of much, as I have very little to put inside of it just yet, but it's likely that I will attempt to print the recipes on some sort of card stock and then store them in a box or folder that I create myself. Pictures, once they are actually a thing, will get be shared here, as well as a description of how I've set up my recipe book/box/collection.

This task goes hand in hand with this and this task, and will be completed as they are.

Or, if there's some sort of event that prevents me from making a certain recipe during a certain month, make a total of 33 new recipes, as this is the number of months that the challenge spans. These recipes can be anything from baked goods to full-blown meals. Side dishes count as recipes as long as they are something more complicated than simply a baked potato or some-such, since there has to be some element of cooking challenge there. This goal is here in an effort to enhance my skills at cooking and to slowly encourage me to cook food at home more than eating prepackaged foods or food from work. Hopefully over time I'll have built a nice repertoire of recipes for future use.

I've actually done this before, but I really want to get into baking and various other forms of cooking more, so I thought a cake would be a fun way to do this. The kind of cake I make will likely depend on what the occassion is, since I feel a bit odd baking a cake just to eat between Ron and I, but I'll most likely use a variation of this recipe. It's a safe bet that the pineapple upside-down cake will be made at some point, although I'd also like to try my hand at making my own buttercream frosting, which would likely go with a chocolate or yellow cake instead. Pictures and the eventual recipe will go in this post once this task is completed.
